GNS introduces a new series of complete GPS receivers that are optimized for very small battery budgets.
Thanks to advanced dynamic power management technology, the power consumption is reduced to a minimum below 7 mA (<20mW). Average power savings are 60%. Unlike other concepts that use trickle operation modes with reduced update rates of the position, GNS601uLP works at full 1 per second position update rate. Best power savings can be achieved in typical outdoor scenarios with wide view angles to the sky. GNS601uLP allows long term tracking in small applications like fitness wearables, pet tracking and camera applications. Very low power requirements and internal voltage regulator makes it easy to run the receiver with various power supplies and allows direct connection to LiIon batteries.
